Preparation

Old material stripped, grade corrected, real topsoil placed and levelled. Sod on compacted builder fill is money spent on something that browns by August.

Installation

Rolled and watered in immediately, seams tight, cut cleanly at edges and beds.

The first three weeks

Serious, daily water. Nearly every sod failure we are called to look at is a watering failure, not a product failure.

Whatever the material, the base under it and the water around it decide how it looks in ten years.
