When is the best time to plant in Maple?
Spring and early fall. Mid-summer works but needs far more water, and anything planted after the ground starts to freeze is a gamble.
Can you fix the dead strip along the driveway?
That is road salt, not winter kill. It is improved by flushing, gypsum, topdressing and overseeding — or permanently by replacing that strip with a mulched or stone border.
Do you remove the old material?
Yes. Sod, soil, old stone and plant material are hauled off as part of the job.
