Sizing and outlets

Basin size, pipe diameter and fall all have to suit the area draining into them. Undersized systems back up in exactly the storm you installed them for.

Maintenance

Grates need clearing each fall. Leaves are what block a system that was built correctly.

Whatever the material, the base under it and the water around it decide how it looks in ten years.
