Types we use

Step and hardscape lights set into the wall, path lights along routes, uplights for trees and wall washes for stone faces.

Why low voltage

Safer to work around, easy to extend, and simple to re-aim after a winter. Conduit and a transformer cost little during construction.

Design rule

Light surfaces, not eyes. If the fixture is visible from where people sit, it is aimed wrong.

Whatever the material, the base under it and the water around it decide how it looks in ten years.
